Women’s Team Pursuit Program
The Hellyer Women’s Team Pursuit program started in June 2012. Over 40 women participated in the program for fun, fitness/ training and learning. Five squads (many of whom had little to no pursuit experience) competed at the 2012 USA Cycling Elite Track National Championships – September 2012 in Carson, CA (ADT Velodrome).

ABOUT THE PROGRAM
Who is Eligible?
All Women track cyclists interested in building, or learning team pursuit skills.
Program Goals:

Mentor, train, and provide financial and logistic support to team pursuit squads competing at the US Elite National Championships.

Provide continuing mentoring, training, and racing opportunities for riders of all ability levels to gain experience (and have fun!) in team pursuit riding.

Increase participation at Hellyer Velodrome events.

Provide opportunities and support for participants to explore leadership opportunities with Hellyer Velodrome/NCVA.

Cost: There is no cost to participate in the HWTPP – however there is always a $5 (per day) track usage fee (to help with Hellyer Velodrome upkeep), a $6 parking fee to the County if you haven’t bought a year pass, and $5 bike rentals
