The local weather in San Jose during early September is almost always sunny and comfortable, with low humidity, daytime temperatures normally in the 80’s and evenings in the low to mid-70’s. The evenings can get cool sometimes so bring a long-sleeved jersey and tights for warm-ups, just in case. The morning warm-up sessions might see temperatures as low the high 50's so be prepared in case that happens.

Some of the local attractions near the ocean will often have temperatures in the 60's and 70's with a breeze blowing. Similar for Yosemite National Park.

Normally there is no measureable rain in San Jose during September. Light, westerly breezes coming over the nearby coastal mountains keep the air at the velodrome clean, with a slight scent of the nearby Eucalyptus trees.
