Taught by women; for women only!
The 7th annual Hellyer Women’s Track – Race and Training Series (promoted by San Jose Bicycle Club) is designed to introduce women to racing on the track in a fun, non-intimidating environment. The sessions are conducted by experienced women track racers who know their stuff!
If you are a climber, and find yourself getting dropped or in difficulty on flatter sections of a race or a ride, learning to ride the track will help you get a feel for riding at a high tempo. If you ride with a group, track cycling will also help you develop skills of riding in a pack, and it will also teach you good drafting skills and sprinting skills.
The series sessions are broken into three skill-specific training modules so you can learn different things in each session and get a “taste” of all the track has to offer women!
Fees: The sessions are $49.00 per person/ per session (incl. NCVA fee and rental).
$130 if you register for all three sessions (a $17 discount). Click here to register!
Part of the proceeds go toward sponsorship of the women’s racing prize purses.
Parking NOT INCLUDED ($6 per day Santa Clara County Fee charged at park entrance)
